My black bag.

I used to be a lover of big handbags till I met one Lolade geh and she killed that love for me. She made start hunting down small/sidebags.
Anyways, man pickin has to hustle and along the line also make sure my food is on point. Now how ll I carry a bag and a basket, or a bag and a nylon? Who has strength for all those serenren? 
So I got lucky and got a black bag 👏👏👏👏 that bag is a life saver because my pack of healthy lunch can go right into it. With this raining season that is making me forget to drink water, my big water bottle can also find a space. In short I can carry a day old baby in that bag 😅😅😅😅😅aswertagad!

So in case you are about to die from hunger and you see me with my black bag, holla maybe I ll agree to share my lunch with you 😛😛😛😛.

Max 30 💪💪💪💪

Hello people! !!

Yaay to my boring self lol.
Sorry there was no post last week, it was my birthday week and I was flexing *yinmu* . Your girl has not been up to much o. There only thing is I started a new program and running is now taking a back seat, so my 1000miles in 2015 is taking  a serious hit *ouch*

So let’s talk about my new program 💃💃💃💃💃💃Insanity Max 30 is the latest thing from ShaunT. 30mins of workouts that ll make you feel like you are gonna die!!! It is not a small something,  if you think Insanity was cray??????? Biko Max 30 is the raised to power 10!! I am done with them second week and I can already see a difference o. Right now I think any cardio more than 30mins is so not it #okbye. The good thing is that unlike Insanity , this one has a modifier so even a beginner can do it. Is my ShaunT not Bae? ?

For Saturday  I had a quick 4.67mile, I miss the asphalt.  2miles run with a pace of 11mins omg!!! Adonbilivit!! He he he hehe I tell you max 30 is the bomb when your food is clean! 2.67miles slow run ended my miles. Then I went ahead to foam roll ooooooooommmmmmggggggggg.
Foam rolling is bliss. Heheheheheehhe. Don

STRUGGLE CONTINUES

Happy new month people,  so malaria has taken me off exercise but I am better now. I started Insanity max:30, you know how much I love ShaunT, so I am back on my honeymoon love with him.

Running is going to have to take a back sit for a while so I can enjoy my first love fa.
Till I start max 30 next week I am allowed to chop chop because I am treating malaria o. Current mode is Owambe things.
Can that plate of amala please reach my side? Ooook byeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Before I leave, May is my birth month so #wetradeinall will be giving discount on every sport bras and gym wear bought from us. Wonderful month ahead.

JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Hello, was my boring self missed?  #lol
Yesterday was supposed to be a long run, but after Friday’s market waka,  I knew I would take whatever I get.

So off I went with my buddy with a 4miles  in mind. At mile 4, I kinda partially twisted my ankle and couldn’t run on it anymore. Aaaaaarrgggh , it is the fault of  PDP and APC o * 😅sebi everything used to be their fault during election period, why should it change now?*  I brisk walked home the rest of the 2miles and I know those 2 would still not let me get ice for my feet. Make them remember say diaris god o.

Meanwhile why do Nigerian’s stare????? Kai! We can look! People should learn to steal a glance and move on, but that is not the case of my Nigerian people.  Them go look you like say you shit for body.
I had to confront one yesterday  ” bros why you dey stare now? I shit for body?” He said he was admiring me.  Admiration kwa????

That stuff makes me uneasy and both men and women do it, bike repent o.

I am sorry for the long holiday,  life happened o jare,  1 year to serve my father land. That does not even include the fact that blogging na full time job biko.  I twale for all the bloggers that drop their post on time, una well done o, God is your strength and muscle.

Anyways,  I am back and better, still dropping the kilos but it is kinda slower and annoying now.
I promise to try and make at least 1 post a week, by God’s grace.

Hello, sorry this post is coming up now, should have happened on Saturday but Airtel made sure it didn’t happen.

 

Seriously what I want to do today is to vent! Why are some Nigerians like this? Yes, I guess that maybe exercising is not a part of our culture but can’t we just respect ourselves when we see someone jogging or running on the street.

My first experience of some Nigerians annoying attitude was when I started jogging whille in school.  If anyone is familiar with Moore road around Unilag side. What did I not hear? Orobo no let your boobs fall o, bla bla bla bla.

But this saturday was like enough was enough. Jejely and gbadunly was how I went to bed on Friday only to wake up at 2am, I tried so hard to sleep back but that didn’t happen until after 5. Before I knew it, 6am was the time. I was so tired and sleepy and I really wanted to stay in bed, but I had a 10k run group challenge and I didn’t wanna miss the certificate to be given. Yes, I am vain like that , if I stay in a country that gives medal for races , I will run for the medals #teamrunfor themedals.

Anyway, I dragged mt tired self off the bed and got dressed,  I got to my running point and it was traffic heavy, but nothing spoil now? A girl has got to do what a girl has got to do. Mile one went in peace, then from the second mile I started seeing some wierd people. One old woman saw me coming and she started mimicking me and laughing *see me see matter o* , some kids too ran after me like I was a clown ot something,  all of that didn’t even pain me until I ran pass a group of guys that were sitted.

One of them stood up and started running in front of me and shaking a non-existing ass. I didn’t say nothing and I ran pass . 3rd mile and he did the same, I could here his friends telling him to leave me , he didn’t listen. 4th mile came and he did the same thing, I pulled of my headphones and eexplained to him what distraction meant.

I was coming on my 5th mile and something just told me that the mumu will do it again, I made uo my mind to teach him some sense since his village people had destined him for some form of lessons that morning. He saw me coming and started his usual madness,  I ran up to him and then gently swerved to my right and gave him a very nice elbow *shiko* with my left arm. Somebody should have warned him that I was on TapoutX week 3 and that Mike taught me how to give nice elbow. So, bros landed in a pool of water and got laughed at, I finished my 6th mile in peace and got my certificate. 

I really do wish Nigerians can leave us in peace! The other day it was one dude that looked like he weighed 00 pounds and had in his hands a bottle of coke that was advising me that orobo oya jog  faster. Who needs the exercise more? Smh.

Although I couldnt post here but I sure didn’t forget my struggle against fat, I’m still on the matter and giving it a run for it’s life ( if fat has a life sha).

I want my readers to help me be the judge of something, I put up a before and after and most of my friend said they prefered me the way I was before and I am like what! ?!  . One even started IMG_415858preaching to me that I should have left myself the way God created me #lobatan.com . So I want your own opinion, do u prefer the before or the after.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!

Hello, i know its been a while, phone went bad and when i finally got a new one the only network i could use with it get epilepsy fa.That one is story for another day.

I checked out on one of my to-do wish for 2013, running an official race. Yes , yours truly has done did it ooooooooo.

I ran the Nike werun race for 16th if this month and yes yes yes, it was off the shizzle. It was so much fun.

Coming from 3weeks of drowning in carb and as good as no work out + bad knee, your girl finished up at 79mins. Like i told a friend the previous week when he said ‘so you will run with bad knee?’ I told him even if i have to crawl to the finish line na my leg i go use reach finish line.

My knee showed itself o, but of course with God by my side i handled it properly. I won’t forget two ladies, MOBO and ESE, thanks for always checking back on me. It felt good to know someone was watching out for me in that multitude.

Banke, thanks so much for registering for me, if you hadn’t maybe i would have procrastinated and not done this race.

To the wonderful friend and iyale ( #tongueout# i told you Laj is for both of us) , thanks for listening to all my whining .

IT IS A YEAR ALREADY!!!!

Ikeja-20131010-01145Hurray!!!!!! Hello wonderful people, it is already a year that I decided to join this healthy madness #lol#. A year ago, I decided to take charge of my life and get in control, its been an amazing 365days journey, I have seen changes in every aspect of my life, skin glows better, hair is fuller and longer, slimmer waistline etc. Trust me when I say it works real good, it might be very slow compared to going on a fad diet or diet pills, but it helps the fat stay off for as long as possible.

I had a goal of hitting 20kg loss in 1 year, last I checked my weight, I was 600g from my goal. Let’s just hope I met that goal anyways, if I didn’t I would still be very happy because I took this decision and I am seeing great changes.

I want to say a very big thank you, to everyone for both the positive and negative energy that was thrown my way (yeah, some people don’t have anything exceptnegativity in them, throw it my way and I use it to fuel my goal, lobatan.com) I am very grateful. Yours truly who couldn’t walk 2km actually ran her first 10k with a 9.03mins lap time. Yes, your baby is really doing good people.

Thank you to AWLF, you guys helped me in taking the first step after I decided I was making a change, DR Trim I love you to pieces.
Thank you to WLB, Natachy, GuguC, Folusho, Fabulous, Diza,Hali and all of you, this journey gave me the oppurtunity of meeting wonderful people.

I AM ONLY HUMAN!!!!

Hello people, I hope we are all good and kicking fat off our body? The happenings of the past 2weeks made me understand more that this journey is not just physical, it is also psychological.

The psychological side of me went Haywire in the past 2 weeks. The thing eyaff refuse to gbo control o. There was something wrong that I couldn’t place my hands on. Instead of sitting back tto work it out, I was busy using clean eating and work outs to push it away. When my being couldn’t take it no more, I broke on sunday and by Monday was already into emotional eating.

Like they say, the first move to solving a problem is accepting that a problem actually exists. I had to accept that something was wrong. Forget all the fb and bbm chats, I was loosing it!!! So, I spoke with some friends and was advised to take a chill p. I took a break, some days off, no work outs, wasn’t so conscious of food and I splurged real good. My splurging sha I was still counting calories fa, I remember a friend telling me how can I call 3 puff puff bad eating. Lol, what can I do now.

My break was from Tues – Fri, na then I realise say living healthy na work oooooo! I didn’t have to get up from bed early to workout or feel that guilt, I didn’t have to say I will eat this instead of that. To all my peeps on it, I troway salute! We dey try!!!! By Thursday I was already getting bored from no workouts, but I pulled it through till Friday.

Saturday came and guess who got her groove back??? MOIIII!!!!!!

I went out with my new found love! Naaaaaaa, its not a man, It is RUNNING. I told you guys I am practising for a 2km non stop by Jan. I went running and actually beat the previous lap time I set last week by 30secs. Maybe it would have been 45-50secs if this very naughty ear piece of mine was not coming off due to sweat and if my phone didn’t have to fly out of the waist pouch. Anyways, 30 or 40secs, the fact remains I beat my previous record! With all authority and no apology ehn, say hi to the half marathon runner in another 10 months time, GBAM!!!!!!!!!! Chei! I haff make mouth o, let’s see how it goes.

About that waist pouch of mine, hmmmmm. For running, there is need to have a hydration pack . This babes no get hydration pack oooo, trust yours truly now, I carried my grandma’s old waist pouch, went in search of small plastic to fit in with my phone. I got none, so I put up my thinking cap, my grandma always says “something that can’t breathe shouldn’t be wiser than you”. No small bottle but I found a small Bama mayonnaise container that I kept for what I don’t know.

Anyways it came in handy and I was able to hydrate myself while on the move. This really helped my race. Hydrating yourself during workout is key, it is very important.
Okay, I don rant enough oooooo. Let me leave you to enjoy the rest of your weekend and most likely get your own groove back.
